Lung capacity of patients was tested by expert doctors through free spirometry camp for respiratory, asthma and allergy patients.

Under the directions of Civil Surgeon Dr. Kirandeep Kaur Ji at Community Health Center Manawala, the second free spirometry camp was organized on Tuesday by Dr. Harmeet Singh, a specialist in chest, allergy and TB, under the leadership of Senior Medical Officer Dr. Manjit Singh Rataul, in which the lung capacity of the needy patients who came was tested and they were given detailed information about respiratory, asthma and allergy and were encouraged to stay healthy.
On this occasion, Senior Medical Officer Dr. Manjit Singh Rataul said that at present, gynecologists, pediatric specialists and chest and TB specialists along with other medical officers are performing their services at CHC Manawala and treatment and medicines are provided free of cost as per the government guidelines.
Dr. Harmeet Singh said that during the free spirometry camp, 15-20 people were tested for their lung capacity. He said that due to increasing air pollution or changing weather or any allergy, people often start having difficulty breathing, which if not properly checked, gradually takes the form of diseases like asthma and COPD. He said that now 150-200 patients have got their tests done at CHC Manawala in the last few days. He said that it is very important that respiratory, asthma and allergy are properly checked and its treatment is completed as per medical advice. He said that such patients should ensure to protect themselves from pollution during changing weather or crop harvesting and in case of any respiratory problem, they should ensure to get timely treatment from specialist doctors.
On this occasion, Medical Officer Dr. Neha, Dr. S.P. Singh, Nursing Sister Jasbir Kaur, Roop Kiran Staff Nurse, Nishan Singh Pharmacy Officer, Gurjit Singh, Prince Male Health Worker and other staff members were present.
