Amritsar District Administration demolishes houses of two drug smugglers in village Dharar

Today, Amritsar District Administration demolished the houses of two drug smugglers in village Dharar near Jandiala Guru with the help of JCB machine. On this occasion, District Police Chief Maninder Singh, who was leading the operation, said that the said houses belong to Jagpreet Singh alias Jagga Putra Balwinder Singh and Satnam Singh alias Satta Putra Baldev Singh. He said that both of them have been in the business of selling drugs for a long time. Jagpreet Singh has seven NDPS cases registered against him and Satta has four NDPS cases registered against him. He said that both the accused are still in jail.
The District Police Chief clarified that this is the fifth operation being carried out in Amritsar district under the war against drugs launched by the Punjab government, in which illegal constructions and encroachments made by drug traffickers have been removed. He said that these people who have demolished the houses of many people to build their own houses will not be allowed to enjoy the pleasures of women. He said that strict action is being taken against anyone involved in this illegal business. Under which the accused person will be sent to jail along with confiscation of his property or demolition of his illegal constructions.
He said that we have received a very good response from the general public in the war against drugs launched by the Punjab government. He said that on the basis of the information provided by the people, the Punjab Police is continuously recovering large consignments of drugs. Apart from this, the people have started sharing information about drug peddlers with the police on their own initiative, which is commendable. The District Police Chief also said that considering people who are addicted to drugs as patients, people are also taking the help of drug de-addiction centers or OATS centers to get them treated. He appealed to the people that the district administration has currently arranged 720 beds in Amritsar district for the treatment of the above type of patients, where every patient is treated free of cost, so you too should get the children suffering from drug addiction treated and give them a new life.
