The birth anniversary of the fourth Guru, Sri Guru Ramdas Ji, was celebrated with great devotion, respect and religious enthusiasm at St. Soldier Elite Convent School, Jandiala Guru. A special religious function was organized in the school dedicated to this holy day, during which the students of the school recited Sri Japji Sahib Ji in congregation, after which the entire atmosphere was colored in the color of Gurbani with various kirtans of Gurbani by the students.
Later, the students presented the life of Guru Sahib Ji, his humility, spirit of service, philanthropy and teachings given for the welfare of humanity in a very beautiful way through poetry related to Sri Guru Ramdas Ji, and their own compositions. On this occasion, all the children of the school did the service of bringing Prasad from their homes so that everyone could attend the Guru’s langars and at the feet of the Guru. On this occasion, the Managing Director of the school, Dr. Mangal Singh Kishanpuri Ji, while addressing the students, said that the entire life of Sri Guru Ramdas Ji gives us a message of humility, truth, service, meditation and mutual brotherhood. He said that the holy city of Sri Amritsar Sahib, established by Guru Sahib Ji, is today a great center of devotion, love and spirituality for the entire humanity. On this occasion, the Director Principal of the school, Dr. Amarpreet Kaur Ji, while motivating the students, said that the real purpose of such religious events is not only to celebrate Gurpurab, but also to connect the new generation with our rich heritage, culture and the great teachings of the Gurus. During the function, the religious performances of the students created a supernatural and spiritual atmosphere, connecting everyone’s minds with the Guru’s feet. Finally, the entire school family prayed for the welfare of all, the bright future of the students, and peace and harmony in the society. Afterwards, Guru ka langar was served to the entire congregation.
