– No deficiency will be allowed in the field of education

Cabinet Minister Harbhajan Singh ETO today inaugurated a new chapter of development works in his constituency Jandiala Guru and dedicated more than Rs 80 lakh worth of work done in 7 schools under the Education Revolution Program. He today handed over new classrooms, four school gates and other newly completed works to the children at Government Elementary School Daburji, Government Elementary School Chung, Government Middle School Chung, Government Elementary School Saidoke, Government Elementary School Khwa Rajputan, Government Senior Secondary School Khwa Rajputan, Government Elementary School Mehta Chowk and Government Middle School Mehta Chowk.
Addressing the gathering of children and village elders on this occasion, the Cabinet Minister said that how much education can contribute to a person’s progress, this can be asked from a person like me. He said that whatever status I am in today, it is because of education. He said that I got the opportunity to teach in the school where I studied, now I also get the opportunity to be the chief guest in that school. All this has been possible because I have not forgotten to respect my teachers and follow their advice. He said that whether I light a lamp anywhere else on Diwali or not, I do not forget to go to my school and make a lamp garland, which has brought light in my life.
He said that the homes, families, villages, towns of all Punjabis like me will be illuminated only if we become literate. He said that an educated family member becomes the navigator of the progress of the entire family, so let us take advantage of the facilities provided in all government schools and educate our children so that their future is bright.
He said that where were they in our time, when there were not even benches to sit in schools and today in those same government schools there are digital screens, beautiful libraries, labs, good furniture to sit, magnificent rooms and all those other facilities, which big schools in cities are providing by charging hefty fees. He said that my constituencies, come and hand over your children to the teachers of government schools so that they can brighten their future.
