Today, the festival of Hola Mohalla was celebrated by the children in the school grounds by playing Gatka. The children of the school celebrated this occasion with great enthusiasm by playing a magnificent traditional Gatka and wearing colors. The staff and management of the school celebrated with great joy together with the children and expressed their happiness by throwing garlands at each other. Dr. Mangal Singh Kishanpuri informed the children about Hola Mohalla and how Guru Gobind Singh Ji started Hola Mohalla and taught the Khalsa army the science of weapons. The Khalsa army was formed from Hola Mohalla and it removed centuries of slavery from the Mughals. The heroes of Hola Mohalla did great deeds and uprooted the foundations of the Mughal empire. In this way, the children were also inspired to celebrate Hola Mohalla happily in their families. Children were prohibited from using chemical colors, thus making the Hola Mohalla festival a historic one.
