PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Department of Industries & commerce, PunjabWith support of Textile Manufacturers Association (TMA)organized atrainingcum awareness session on Government-e-Marketplace (GeM) at Amritsar today. Addressing the session,Mr. Kush Tyagi, Business Facilitator from Ministry of Commerce said that buying is now compulsory from GeM portal from March onward in Punjab. Government-e-Marketplace is a national public portal to make procurement simpler, transparent, efficient and accountable now. GeM is aimed at changing the outdated procurement methods of govt. and source right products/services at right price from right source quality &quantity. He further enlightened the detailed registration procedure for both Buyers and Sellers on GeM portal. Session was also addressed byMr.J.S. Makkar,EO, PHD Chamber, Mr.BalvinderPal Singh, GM, DIC, Mr. Deepak KhannaVice President, TMA, Mr. Rajiv KhannaHony. Secretary TMA and Sh. P.L Seth President, Punjab Pradesh BeoparMandal.
The Session was well attended by Industrialists from MSME Sector, Business Associationsand DDO’s from different govt. departments.
