Cabinet Minister Harbhajan Singh ETO today laid the foundation stone for widening the road leading to the birthplace of Baba Jawand Singh from Gehri Naraingarh to Khujala via Bhagwan-Gadli by 10 to 16 feet. On this occasion, he said that when I went to pay obeisance at the birthplace of Baba Jawand Singh, the Sangat ordered me to widen this road, because thousands of Sangats come every year to visit Baba Ji’s Gurdwara. He said that following this order of the Sangat, Baba Jawand Singh has taken this service from me today, for which I consider myself to be the one with karma. He said that this road will be ready by March 31 at a cost of three and a half crore rupees. He said that with the construction of this road, this area will be directly connected with 18 feet wide roads, which will also benefit the people of the area. He said that my effort is to include Jandiala Constituency in the constituencies of Punjab and therefore I am making continuous efforts on my part. He thanked Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Maan and said that he never allowed shortage of funds for development works. On this occasion, Subedar Chanakh Singh, Engineer Jatinder Singh Bhangu, S. Pushpinder Singh, S. Amardeep Singh, S. Baljinder Singh, Sarpanch Sukhjinder Singh, S. Jaspal Singh, S. Sahib Singh and other dignitaries were also present with them.
