During this meeting, emergency drugs, stock of essential medicines, warm blankets, warmers, blowers, heaters, radiant warmers, water geysers, warm water dispensers and repair of doors and windows were reviewed for the patients in all the health institutions. On this occasion, he said that the health of both the elderly and children is affected during the winter season because they can get sick very quickly due to cold. In such weather it is very important to keep all the elderly especially those who have diabetes, asthma or heart disease and newborn babies warm. Apart from this, the number of patients with cough, cold, diarrhoea, vomiting, fever, chest congestion, shortness of breath, nausea etc. increases in winter. Therefore, the health department should be active in the care and treatment of patients. On this occasion, Assistant Civil Surgeon Dr. Rajinder Pal Kaur, District Family Welfare Officer Dr. Neelam Bhagat, District Vaccination Officer Dr. Bharti Dhawan, DDHO. Dr. Jaganjot Kaur, District Health Officer Dr. Jaspal Singh, DMC Dr. Gurmeet Kaur, District Epidemiologist Dr. Harjot Kaur, District MEIO. Amardeep Singh and other senior medical officers were present.
