DC and SSP Rural visited the grain market Jandiala, assured the farmers about the purchase of paddy.

Today, DC Amritsar Sakshi Sahni and SSP Rural Charanjit Singh visited the grain market of Jandiala Guru. Meanwhile, talks went on for about 2 hours between the farmer organizations and the officials, in which problems like purchase of paddy, low prices, forced sale of nano urea were discussed. Leader of Kisan Mazdoor Sangharsh Committee Germanjit Singh Bandala and leader of Bharatiya Kisan Union Sidhupur Daljit Singh Khalsa said that the paddy crop of the farmers is not being purchased and secondly, if the crop is purchased, then it gets low prices. He said that PR 126 is being purchased at the rate of Rs 2320 per quintal, whereas at many places it is not being sold at all, whereas its sowing was recommended by the Punjab Agriculture Department. Apart from this, nano urea is being forcibly sold to the farmers, which is absolutely wrong.  DC Amritsar Sakshi Sahni and SSP Rural Charanjit Singh assured them that the sale of paddy to the farmers would be smooth and transparent. On this occasion Manjinder Singh Sarja, Chairman Market Committee Subedar Chanakh Singh, Anmol Grover, Surinder Seth, Jatinder Singh Nati, Mohinder Singh, Bunty Jain, farmer leader Satnam Singh and others were present.
