Bhartiya Kisan Union Ekta Ugrahan State Committee has decided that due to non-purchase of paddy by the government, toll plazas will be made free indefinitely in entire Punjab. Under this, Nijjarpura has been made toll free from 12 noon. District President Kashmir Singh Dhagai said that Punjab government has failed in lifting the crops. He said that crops are coming to the mandis from 1st October. But no special arrangements were made for this, while the markets are full of paddy. The government held a meeting with the farmers only for show, but it was not implemented. While the farmers are having to make toll free to sell their crops. The farmers have to sow wheat for some time, but the society does not have a single bag of DAP fertilizer. On the contrary, fake DAP and fake medicines are being sold in the market, on which no action is being taken. He said that if this situation remains, then there will be a bigger protest in the coming time. He said that tomorrow there will be a protest in front of the houses of BJP leaders besides AAP ministers and MLAs regarding the matter of lifting.
