The students of IFA have done it again! It is with great pride and pleasure to announce that the team from the International Hockey Academy (IFA) has become champions for the third time at the CISCE National Hockey Tournament, held in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, India.
The team arrived in Bhubaneswar on September 19th to play in the semi-finals, where they faced three formidable teams. In an impressive performance, the IFA team emerged victorious in all three matches with scores of 2-1, 3-1, and 3-0.They defeated UP, Karnataka and Chhattisgarh.
In the semi-finals, the IFA team showcased their dominance by defeating the team Tamilnadu with an astounding 4-0 victory. With this win, they advanced to the final, fully prepared and determined to claim the championship.
The final match was a highly anticipated showdown, where the IFA team faced the strong local team from Bhubaneswar Odhisa. Rising to the challenge, the IFA team delivered an outstanding performance, scoring 3-0 goals and emerging as the champions.
The Chairman of the Academy, S.Jagbir Singh, along with the Chairperson, Mrs. Ravinder Kaur personally witnessed all five matches, providing their unwavering support to the team. Their presence undoubtedly inspired the players to give their best on the field.
This triumphant victory solidifies the IFA team’s place as three-time champions of the CISCE National Hockey Tournament.
The students will soon return to a grand welcome at the Academy, where their achievement will be celebrated. Such exceptional sports performances by the athletes have only been made possible due to their tireless hard work, rigorous training under the expert supervision of their coach, and the complete support and passion for sports from the Academy’s Chairman, Sardar Jagbir Singh. The way International Fateh Academy is currently nurturing new talent, many athletes will emerge in the future who will make the country proud of their performances.
