Improving the infrastructure of villages is the first priority-ETO
Grants of more than 25 lakhs have been given to various Gram Panchayats of Jandiala Guru constituency

It is the dream of Chief Minister Punjab Mr. Bhagwant Singh Mann to provide all kinds of urban facilities to the people of the villages and our first priority is to improve the infrastructure of the villages. These words were expressed by the Cabinet Minister Mr. Harbhajan Singh ETO while distributing grants of 25.25 lakh rupees to the 16 Gram Panchayats under Halka Jandiala Guru. He said that these grants are being given under RDO (S scheme) with which the Gram Panchayats will be able to develop their villages.
Mr. ETO said that Gram Panchayat Dhar of Constituency Jandiala Guru got Rs 0.50 lakh for solar lights, Rs 1.50 lakh for liquid waste management, Gram Panchayat Rana Kalan got Rs 1 lakh for solar lights, Rs 1.50 lakh for solid waste management, Gram Panchayat Rana Kalan. Panchayat Hundal Har 0.75 lakh for solar lights, Gram Panchayat Nijhar Pura Rs 1 lakh for solar lights, Gram Panchayat Nawan Kot for 1 lakh solar lights, Gram Panchayat Bundala Rs 1.50 lakh for solar lights, Rs 1.50 lakh for Liquid Waste Management, Makhanwindi Rs 0.50 Rs.1 lakh for solar lights, Rs.1.50 for liquid waste management, Rs.0.50-0.50 lakh for solar lights to Mallias and Dheere Kot, Rs.1.50 lakh to Gram Panchayat Gahri for solid waste management, Rs.1.50 lakh to Gram Panchayat Devidas Pura for liquid waste management, Gram Panchayat Fatehpur 1.50 lakh rupees to Rajputs for liquid waste management, 2 lakh rupees for graveyards, 1.50-1.50 lakh rupees to Gram Panchayat Chhapa Ram Singh and Janians, 1-1 lakh rupees to Gram Panchayat Nangal Dayal Singh and Nangli Guru, S: Grants were given to C villages whose population is more than 50 percent.
Cabinet Minister ETO asked all Gram Panchayats to conduct all these development works under their supervision. He said that this is the sweat earned by the people and this money is to be used for public welfare only. He said that any laxity in development work will not be tolerated.
On this occasion Madam Suhinder Kaur, Mata Surinder Kaur, Sunaina Randhawa, B:D:PO Malkit Singh, Mr. Satinder Singh, apart from representatives of Gram Panchayats were also present.
