  The players of the Indian hockey team, who returned to Punjab after winning the bronze medal from the Olympic Games, were welcomed by Punjab Cabinet Minister S. Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal and S. Harbhajan Singh ETO at Sri Guru Ramdas International Airport on behalf of the Punjab government and warmly welcomed the players.  .  On this occasion, parents of hockey players, hockey lovers and senior officials of Hockey Punjab were also present in large numbers.  S. Dhaliwal blessed the hockey players on this occasion and said that Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann has announced to give a prize money of one crore rupees to each player of your winning team. He said that we are proud of you, who  India has returned to hockey after a long time.  Mr. Dhaliwal said that the Punjab government is making efforts to develop sports at the village level and the coming time will provide a very comfortable environment for our sportsmen and sports, which will produce big players in Punjab.  Blessing the players on this occasion, Lok Sabha member S. Gurjit Singh Aujla said that we will always be proud of our hockey players who after a long time won medals for the country and brightened the name of our country in hockey.Talking to reporters on this occasion, Harbhajan Singh ETO Cabinet Minister Punjab said that it is a matter of great joy that our sportsmen have removed the stigma of drugs on Punjab with their sports.  He said that Punjab has always led the country in sports and this tradition will continue in the future, for which the Punjab government is making all possible efforts.  He said that our head is held high with pride when our players from Punjab are representing the country in the Olympics.  He said that with the efforts of S. Bhagwant Singh Mann, Punjab will be known as the nursery of sports in the future.

 Among the Olympic athletes who arrived at Amritsar airport today, the names of Manpreet Singh, Harmanpreet Singh, Hardik Singh, Gurjant Singh, Shamsher Singh, Mandeep Singh, German Preet Singh Ball, Sukhjit Singh and Jugraj Singh are worth mentioning.

 On this occasion Mr. Rajat Ubrai Administrator ADA, Former Hockey Olympian Mr. Pratt Singh Mr. Harpreet Singh Mander, Mr. Balwinder Singh Shami, Mr. Sanjeev Kumar, Mr. Jugraj Singh, President of Hockey Punjab Mr. Nitin Kohli, General Secretary Mr. Amrik Singh Pawar, Chairman  Advisory Board Mr. Pratt Singh, Treasurer Mr. Sanjeev Kumar, Executive Member Mr. Kulbir Singh, Member Gurmeet Singh, Gundeep Singh Kapur, Chairman Umpiring Committee Gurinder Singh Sangha, Office Incharge Kanchan and senior officials welcomed the players.
