The state government under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann is making every effort to make the youth employable and during its two and a half years tenure, the government has provided employment opportunities to more than 43 thousand youth.
These words were expressed by Cabinet Minister Harbhajan Singh ETO. 96 youth were provided appointment letters during the employment and self-employment camp organized at Market Committee Mehta. He said that the main objective of our government is to provide health, education and employment to unemployed youth.
He informed that various departments of Punjab like Backfinco Amritsar, SC Corporation Amritsar, District Industries Center Amritsar, Dairy Development Board Amritsar, Punjab Skill Development Mission Amritsar, Rural Self Employment Technical Institute Amritsar, Punjab State Rural Livelihood Mission, Amritsar participated in this camp to provide self-employment and offer letters were given to the youth. He informed that reputed companies like Raksha Security, Max Kochar Tech, Share India etc. participated in this camp and various employment opportunities were provided to the young men and women. A total of 211 youth participated in this camp and job officers were made available to 96 children.
He said that on this occasion Nojwana provided information to the youth about preparation for police, army and other government jobs and C-PET Centre Kapurthala and Army Recruitment Centre Amritsar also provided information to the youth about recruitment. On this occasion Dr. Gurvinder Singh Chairman Market Mehta, Mrs. Neelam Mahe, Deputy Director, Employment Development, Skill Development and Training, Amritsar, Mr. Naresh Kumar, Employment Development, Skill Development and Training, Amritsar, Mr. Tirthpal Singh, Deputy CEO Employment Development, Skill Development and Training, Amritsar, Mr. Gourav Kumar, Career Counselor Employment Development, Skill Development and Training, Amritsar, Block Presidents S: Jarmjit Singh, Gurjinder Singh, Ajay Gandhi, Sukh Randhawa, Kanwaljit Singh, Prat Singh, Daljit Singh Udonangal were also present.
