 The joint front of rural and farm labor groups started a 3-day dharna in front of the house of Cabinet Minister Harbhajan Singh ETO in Jandiala Guru. The dharna was led by Chaman Lal Darazke, State Deputy President of Dehati Mazdoor Sabha, Punjab Khet Mazdoor Sabha.  Joginder Singh Valtoha and Chananke Bhikkhiwind of Kul Hind Khet Mazdoor Union.  Addressing the meeting, State General Secretary of Punjab Khet Mazdoor Sabha Saktar Gurnam Singh Dawood and Jasbir Singh Jhabbal of Kul Hind Khet Mazdoor Union said that the Punjab government should allot 10-10 marla plots in Panchayat land to the poor people and allow them to build houses.  A grant of Rs 5 lakh should be given. Under the MNREGA scheme, the entire family should be given work throughout the year and wages should be given at the rate of Rs 700 per day.
