On 16 November 2023, ASI Sarup Singh was murdered. In which a case of murder was registered on the statements of Lovepreet Singh, son of Sarup Singh. He told that his father ASI Sarup Singh was posted at Nawan Pind Police Station Jandiala Guru. In this case, SSP Dehati Satindra Singh had formed different teams and issued guidelines to identify the accused and find them. With the help of intelligence and technical assistance by the rural police, the accused were identified within just 2 hours. In which Sharanjeet Singh son of Gurdev Singh resident of Dashmeshnagar police station Tarsikka, Sucha Singh son of Bachan Singh, Karan Singh son of Sucha Singh, Harpal Singh alias Palo son of Sucha. Singh, Vishal son of Sucha Singh and Vansh son of Ramitter Singh resident of Akalgarh Dhapian and Rahulpreet Singh alias Simran son of Jagga Singh resident of Rasoolpur Kalan. While investigating this case, accused Sharanjit Singh was arrested on November 17 while Karan Singh son of Sucha Singh was arrested on 18th November, Rahulpreet Singh alias Simran son of Jagga r/o Rasulpur clan and Harpal Singh alias Palo son of Sucha Singh r/o Akalgarh Dhapian were arrested on November 19. 32 bore pistol used in the crime and 5 live ammunition were recovered from the possession of Palo. So far, it has come to light in this case that the reason for this murder has come to light due to the personal rivalry of ASI Sarup Singh with Harpal Singh alias Palo and Vishal.
