Special camps should be set up for Aadhar update in Riyana – Chief Secretary

Chandigarh, December 5 – Haryana Chief Secretary Shri Sanjeev Kaushal has instructed additional Deputy Commissioners to set up special camps for Aadhar updates in the state.
The Chief Secretary was presiding over the UID Implementation Committee meeting here today. Additional Deputy Commissioners and other concerned officials from all districts participated in the meeting through video conferencing.
Update citizen POI and POA in Aadhar description
Chief Secretary directed officers to speed up the Aadhar re-validation process. Citizens whose Aadhaar cards were created more than 10 years ago need to re-verify their Aadhar details by updating their Identity Certificate (POI) and Proof of Address (POA) documents, to ensure they avail of government services. Why.
The Chief Secretary instructed the State Registrars to keep at least 3 operational kits in each mini secretariat and at least one operational kit in SDM offices, tehsils, sub-tehsils and blocks in all districts. Because citizens visit these places for government services and Aadhar updates.
Camps should be set up to settle pending cases of Mandatary Biometric Update (MBU)
Chief Secretary directed IT department officials to ensure implementation of in-house models as per instructions issued by the Special Identity Authority of India. He said it has been decided to restrict the facility of new enrollment of citizens at selected base centers only to strengthen the Aadhaar eco system and list such centers State Registrar, Execution Management of State Portal for New Enrolum Should be provided by the Ent. Organize camps in collaboration with IT Department of Education to address pending matters of Mandatory Biometric Update (MBU). The Chief Secretary directed health department officials to ensure that all newborns are covered under the new nomination of infant base.
Mr. Kaushal instructed the School Education Department to prepare a roster to regularly camp for enrollment and biometric updates of children in both government and private schools. Also, camps should be set up regularly for the enrollment of remaining children in Anganwadis. District roster should be prepared by the Women and Child Development Department for this.
Presenting the Aadhaar card status in Haryana, Regional Office of Indian Special Identity Authority (UIDAI), Chandigarh’s Deputy Director General Ms. Bhavana Garg informed that the monthly target of updating 13.20 lakh Aadhar cards by March, 2023 Or has been gone. So far 299,57,178 Aadhar cards have been created in the state, including 18,01,041 Aadhar cards for the population of 5 to 8 years, 67,12,666 Aadhar cards of age 18 and above. Thus, 100.37 percent Aadhar cards have been made in the state.
